Why does Apple launch a new iPhone every year?
The launch of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus comes just a year after the presentation of the previous version, what is the goal? To continue to generate high profits from this product line, which in the previous fiscal year accounted for Apple nearly 60 percent of its net sales.
Apple released an update to its mobile device with new features, among which are a faster processor, a new touch option and new colors that will look to continue to impress.
This is why Steve Jobs was so focused on iPhone, only in the last fiscal year, this device contributed 102 billion dollars to Apple’s revenue, generated more than technology giants Google, Facebook and Twitter together.
IPhone revenues are also 3.4 times higher than the 30 billion dollars that registered the iPad, the second biggest selling product of the company and almost 45 times more than two billion dollars from the iPod.
In the past fiscal year, Apple generated sales of 8.5 Billion.
“Net sales and iPhone unit sales increased primarily due to the successful introduction of the iPhone 5s and 5c in the second half of calendar year 2013, the successful launch of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus beginning in the fourth quarter of 2014, and expanded distribution, “the firm said in its annual report.
