VLC is one of the first programs in which you should plan to install on your new computer. In fact, its also multi platform, not only can you use it on Mac, even has an application for IOS. It’s a great video player that its greatest value is the ability to play almost any format, support for various video and audio, support for subtitles, streaming playback capability, among other functions. Today we will focus on their new Mac version, VLC 2.0 was expected for some time.
The first thing to attract our attention is the aesthetic changes that it has undergone over its previous versions. The Mac version has been redesigned to have be much more integrated with general Apple features. The playlists are much closer to the user’s view so we can organize our time watching. Improved also is the playback of HD formats, the most popular example is the MKV, and is even now able to support the Blu-Ray. The improved graphical interface gives us the possibility of quick access to reproductive services or streaming via the Internet, and use VLC 2 for organizing our files. Of course, if we think of using it to organize our video files (movies, TV …) we recommend other solutions like Plex media center, or iTunes itself if we do not care to convert the files to supported format because VLC 2 is not as visual as these.
As the list of formats supported is so huge, we refer you to their website so you can see: http://www.videolan.org
A highly recommended program for your Mac you can find the download for free at: VLC 2 for Mac
