Recently a new game from the Hitman franchise has been released, a game that has been on the receiving end of positive reviews. The new Hitman has a quite striking price (just 15 dollars on Steam) and AMD is also giving the game free with some of its graphics cards, thus it quickly has become a very popular title. So naturally we need to see how it fares with aboth AMD and NVIDIA video cards. The bench system relied on an Intel Core i7-2600K @ 4,4 Ghz with 16 GB of RAM.
Surprisingly and as you can see in the graph, the Radeon R9 Nano manages to keep up with the mighty GeForce GTX 980 Ti, and even slightly surpassing the rate of frames per second in 1440p test. Of course, performance is drastically reduced in Ultra HD resolution, the GTX 980 Ti has a major advantage here. The GTX 970 and the Radeon R9 290x are more or less matched in this game, but for some reason NVIDIA graphics is below AMD in all resolutions.
In any case, the 290x can’t hold a second frame rate above 30 FPS in Ultra HD resolution, so if anything you may need to somewhat reduce the graphics settings to play at that resolution. Finally, Hitman with the Radeon R9 370 4GB does not play well even in Full HD to play it its pretty much required to lower the graphics settings.
