ASUS has unveiled its new tablet, the Transformer Book T100, which features a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels. It is one of the first devices that will have an Intel processor Bay Trail.
This new ASUS tablet processor incorporates as one of its new features the new Intel Bay Trail-T Z3740 Atom, along with 2 GB of memory. It is an x86 processor, allowing the tablet to run under Windows 8.1.
The Transformer Book T100 will be available in two versions, with 32GB and 64GB of storage respectively. For additional capacity, ASUS includes a year subscription to its online storage WebStorage service by which we can include an unlimited amount of data to the cloud. It also includes Office 2013 and has microSD card reader.
Regarding connectivity, the tablet has a micro-USB, micro-HDMI and a USB 3.0 port and the keyboard connector. With the battery included with this tablet, the battery life of the device is about 11 hours.
In terms of price and availability, the Transformer Book T100 is priced at $349 for the 32GB model and $399 for the 64GB. The launch is scheduled for October 18 (with Windows 8.1, which will come pre-installed), but also will lbe able to run Android.
