ToeJam and Earl Kickstarter project already has $23,000 in funding
For those of us old enough to remember the great days of Sega Genesis, this will come as amazing news! One of our favorite side scrollers is making a comeback thanks in part to a Kickstarter project that has already managed to acquire $23,000 from loyal supporters. The bad news is that the game may be limited to just PC gamers, we would love to see this great classic hit all platforms including iOS, Android, and Mac.

ToeJam and Earl originally released for the Sega Genesis back in 1992, complete with big gold chains and funky tunes blasting from oversized boom boxes. And now, the game’s creators are bringing the sequel to modern audiences. Developer HumaNature teased ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove earlier in February, saying they’ve been too busy working on the project to release any new information.
Johnson says the team is mainly aiming for a PC release, but wants to bring the project to subsequent platforms, should HumaNature acquire the necessary funding and platform arrangements. As of this writing, ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove has amassed more than $23,000 USD in funding.
