The Microsoft Marketplace unveils new name, Windows Phone Store

The software giant decided to make some changes to its app store. Through the official Windows Phone blog, Microsoft said that as of now, the store will be changed to become Windows Marketplace Phone Store.

Also, as the company mentioned, Windows Phone Store will come with a cleaner design and will have a new tool that will allow search queries from Bing, to make it easier to find applications if users make spelling or typographical mistakes and for best results when searching apps of the same or similar.

This is the look that the renovated Microsoft app store will have, Windows Phone Store.

Moreover, within the improvements, Microsoft introduced a top lists that will help you visualize the free and paid apps most downloaded inside the store. It would work much like the top apps list currently viewed on the App Store.

The revamped app store will have a menu option called ‘News’ that will mention recent publications showing what journalists and bloggers are writing about its Windows Phone or the latest equipment and applications from the company.

Changes to the Microsoft app store will come first to New Zealand and Australia, but in the coming weeks will be gradually be available to the world.
