From iFixit comes a manual to get inside the new Google Nexus 7 and the actual specifications of the new tablet that wants to break into the market. The first news we got is that the Nexus is 1 mm thicker than the Apple iPad, which is a plus when repairs to components are needed or we need to replace the battery. To open it only takes a few tools to force the plastic clips off and a screwdriver for Phillips #00 screws.
But not everything could be good news. The crystal of the screen and the display itself are fused together, so if it breaks we will have to replace both simultaneously. Hydis is the manufacturer responsible for this screen with a diagonal 7 ” screen and a resolution of 1280 × 800.

Inside the Nexus 7 we also find the NVIDIA T30L Tegra 3, HTC2G83CFR DDR3 memory manufactured by Hynix, 8 GB Kingston KE44B-26BN/26BNm flash memory, an MAX 77612A inverter, a AzureWave AW-NH665 wireless card, a Broadcom BCM4751 GPS receiver and a gyroscope / MPU-6050 Invensense accelerometer.
