SonyMobile continues to spoil the Japanese public, as the company recently the Xperia J1 Compact (catalog number – D5788). However according to reports the new smartphone will only go on sale in the local market on April 20, but the collection of pre-orders will start on March 27. Cost of products for each pre-order equals to the equivalent of $460.
Like other smartphones from the Sony Compact Series, The Xperia J1 Compact is small in size and quite a powerful platform.
The device is equipped with a 4.3 inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal flash memory, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) 2.2GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 330 graphics includes also a microSD slot, the battery capacity of 2300 mAh.
It’s hard not to notice that the characteristics of the Xperia J1 Compact are very similar to the unified models Xperia A2 (offered by the Japanese operator NTT DoCoMo) and the Xperia Z1 Compact. However, unlike most smartphones on the Japanese market (Xperia A2 and including), Xperia J1 Compact will be offered without being tied to a specific operator and contract.
