Samsung: iPhone exists because of Sony

 Posted on 27 July 2012

According to Samsung, the iPhone exists because Sony and gives credibility to its story citing an article that was published based on the beliefs of a designer of Sony, which revealed how the phone could look forthcoming over the next year (he was right, that’s for sure). The publication was made on February 22, 2006, during that time Apple, or at least three of their minds, began to collect the first ideas to give birth to the first iPhone.

Thanks to Tony Fadell read the article in Businessweek, did not take long to show it to Steve Jobs, Jony Ive and others used this sketch created based on the ideas published.

Now, why has Samsung revealed all this? All this arises out of litigation that claims that Apple seems to end up in a while to take off all the rags. It’s an interesting point because if it inspired the design of the iPhone it could be a determining factor where Apple is placed in the phone market now (a bit exaggerated but what if they had not published the article?).

Early it was mentioned on Gizmodo about the warning from Google (and others) on Samsung regarding its similar phones with those from Apple and thinks to this began to dig a little on the basis of statements that seemed unfounded by Samsung, but now it shows that perhaps they are right in this point.

I honestly do not know how far it could got to benefit Samsung, although it is interesting to know how did the idea for the iPhone came up, I doubt this, unless you want to dispute that it was not ultimately its own creation (which in this some point they should not care) – help in the litigation. Although it is not known, every day more bizarre are the decisions made in these courts.
