RIM bet on the world of tablets with the playbook, as many know, it was not too successful and the company did not sell much since its release. We have long known that Canadian RIM plans to launch a 10-inch tablet to increase a little sales opportunities for non-fans of the 7 inch model that are currently in the market. Now leaked images confirm, if real, these plans.

The images come from the Vietnamese forum called Tinhte. There we can see the current tablet from the company but much larger than the size of the iPad. As many will be watching and instantly have noticed by looking at the picture, which you can see a larger version of the playbook that comes without redesigning at all. Many will be disappointed by not seeing any changes.
On the other hand they also presented photographs showing the tablet hardware that seems to be the playbook 4G. These images reveal a 26.82Whr battery which is similar to the IPAD 2 (which has 25Whr). Yes it is very different from that of the new iPad (which offers 42.5Whr). There is also a SIM card slot, which means that the tablet will have plans to connect to the Internet via a cellular network.
Unfortunately not much can be evaluated from photographs, but it looks like from RIM what they did was simply enlarge it, improve a little hardware and no more. Not bad for a successful device like the iPad, for example, but it makes no sense that they have done that for the playbook, which is a gadget that not many chose.
