Very rare photo of a wild panda being chased by dogs…
BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhua) — A wild giant panda was seen bullied by dogs in southwest China’s Sichuan Province in a rare recording of endangered species’ relations with other animals. The giant panda barely broke loose from the dogs after nearby villagers came to the rescue, a local newspaper reported.
The rare scenario at Nanqing village in Yuexi County began Sunday noon when a group of villagers herding the cattle on a hillside heard a burst of dog barks and then spotted several dogs chasing after a chubby animal in black and white, one of the villagers told Huaxi Metropolis Daily.
According to the staff of the reserve area, the giant panda was moving slowly because it was frightened by the dogs. It is a “young adult panda”, weighing about 50 kgs judging from the photo shot by villagers.
