Nvidia Kepler architecture coming to “smart phones” and tablets

Set to have more power than the PlayStation 3 processor, and even more than the GeForce 8800 GTX desktop video card

Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang, said that his company will integrate the powerful Kepler graphics processor to “smartphones” and tablets.

With this addition, Nvidia hopes to attract game developers and “get a power never before seen” in these devices.

Nvidia has stated that Kepler will achieve more power in its Mobile processor than a PlayStation 3, and even more than the video card GeForce 8800 GTX desktop, the most popular card in demand of PC games over the past six years.

Kepler Mobile will also feature the latest in graphics standards such as DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4.4, with which the company hopes to attract game developers, this according to the digital newspaper
