AMD confirmed that its next-generation graphics cards, the AMD Radeon HD 8000 Series, will not arrive in the coming months, and its arrival is expected later this year, at least. After learning that AMD will not launch its new generation of graphics cards soon, now comes a new information that says the release of the GeForce 700 Series Nvidia will take place in 2014.
Already a few months ago we reported on the delay that the next generation of graphics cards from AMD and Nvidia would suffer, since the launch of both is expected later this year. Days later AMD confirmed this information.
Now we know a new information on the arrival of the 700 series from Nvidia. Nvidia is betting heavily on other sectors and that is why this year 2013 it will focus its efforts on Nvidia Tegra and GeForce Grid. But Nvidia will not neglect the graphics card market since the launch of the GeForce GTX Titan and GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost, it must be added as well the arrival of the GeForce GTX Titan LE, which will arrive in the third semester.
We must clarify that the Titan GTX is outside of the scope of the new Nvidia 700 series, some sites are suggesting that it refer to these cards as the GeForce GTX 780, but it must be said that none of them is the GTX 780.
We do not know more about the GeForce 700 but the arrival of the successor of the Kepler architecture, Maxwell, was planned for 2014, so this delay could mean a delay for Maxwell, but this is just a guess.
