Google continues to invest in renewable energy

Google’s fascination with renewable energy continues to make headway’s, this time the company has purchased a solar power project in California

the company that was bought by Google is called Imperial Valley Solar 1, and currently produces 265.7-megawatts of electricity. The news comes at a time where the U.S is at a government shutdown, and the Keystone XL pipeline is on hold due to concerns it will cause environmental problems, proponents from both sides are voicing their opinions in trying to grab media attention.


So far it seems that Google is siding with renewable energy and this purchase will be their 13th investment in the industry, having currently spent more than $1billion in the solar panel business.
