We now know the final design that the top-end motherboard from Gigabyte for socket LGA1155 will have, we are talking about the Gigabyte Z77X-UP7. One of its strengths is the inclusion of a VRM design which has 32 power phases, with this we are ensured of good potential in terms of overclocking is concerned.
In the last Computex 2012, Gigabyte has already shown some data on the Gigabyte Z77X-UP7 motherboard, one of them and also very importantly, is the incorporation of a VRM with 32 power phases, which will delight fans of overclocking. Other manufacturers such as from Asus we could also see the Asus Wolverine, with 40 power phases, but we have yet to learn more about it.
The Gigabyte Z77X-UP7 is to be positioned as top model for the LGA1155 socket, so it is compatible with Intel Core Ivy Bridge and the third generation Sandy Bridge of course. As you can see the final design of the motherboard is pretty good, as it combines a black colored PCB with orange details, such as PCI-Express slots, sockets for RAM and even in its cooling system.
Precisely the cooling system is something that was not known when the Gigabyte motherboard was showed at Computex, as it was something they had in secret. Once the final design is ready, we can see a total of four heat sinks are connected by a heatpipe, covering the areas of the chipset and VRM.
As usual Gigabyte uses what it calls Ultra Durable 5, so we can rest easy in their manufacture as we are ensured that all components are of excellent quality. In fact, the leading MOSFETs equipped are about 30 º C cooler than those commonly used, which is achieved by improved energy efficiency and enhanced stability.
As for technical specifications, the Gigabyte Z77X-UP7 has a total of five PCI-Express 3.0 x16, so you can have MultiGPU SLI / CrossFireX settings smoothly. It also has two PCI-Express x1, mSATA port, audio jacks, support for Lucid Virtu technology, dual Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, eSATA, six USB 3.0 ports, PS / 2, DVI video output, HDMI and D-Sub15.
The price is still unknown, although we hope it will finally reach the market with a competitive price, since the motherboard has a great look!
