GIGABYTE presents its GeForce GTX 980 3-way SLI Waterforce

Just when you thought you’ve seen it all in the crazy world of PC, we now have the GeForce GTX 980 3-way SLI Waterforce that is sold as a kit that integrates three GeForce GTX 980 graphics cards and a huge liquid cooling system.

The three graphics cards come with a small factory overclock that rises its speeds from 1,228 MHz-1329 MHz in normal mode and turbo, but with the water cooling system that accompanies it can you can push them even higher, obviously.


The upper housing contains three independent radiators and three fans and placed atop your existing PC tower, so that leaves the largest open space in the interior of your case.

GIGABYTE has priced its GeForce GTX 980 3-way SLI Waterforce at around $3000, but we expect that it will be available to few, considering what it offers. You will need at least 1200 watts to run this beast.


Highlights of the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 980 Waterforce Tri-SLI (Model: GV-N980X3WA-4GD) include GM204 @ 1228/1329 MHz coupled with 4 GB of RAM @ 7.00 GHz and a complete water cooling system, though no longer continue to use an aluminum radiator that featured several copper heatpipes.


Each video card is connected to a cooling system comprising three individual water radiators 120 x 120 mm system can be controlled from the LCD screen at the front (fan speed and coolant pressure) and occupies a  5.25 ” bay through which the tubes pass that carry coolant.
