This new video card is not available with the Nvidia reference design , that is left to the Nvidia assemblers who draw their own models. One of those partners is Gigabyte , which has not been slow to launch the Gigabyte GTX 780 GHz Edition equipped with a WindForce 3X cooler.
The new GTX 780 GHz Edition is a model that lies between the GTX 780 and the future GTX 780 Ti. The GTX 780 GHz Gigabyte Edition features a operating frequency of 1,019 MHz and 1,071 MHz (boost ). The 3 GB of memory are running at 6 GHz
Gigabyte has equipped the new version with its famous WindForce X3 cooler. This cooling system is composed of three fans, 6 heat pipes of 8 and 6 mm and an aluminum radiator divided into two blocks. The card also has a geforce GTX 780 GHz blackplate.
To feed theGV-N780GHZ-3GD it is necessary to use two 8 pin PCI Express connectors, the reference GTX 780 uses one 6-pin and another 8 pin. Comes with a logo “GHz Edition” to differentiate it from previous models.
The Gigabyte GTX 780 WindForce 3X is already available in some stores for a price of around 500 euros.
