Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 OC 2GB GDDR5 vs. Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition






I know some of you would like to see some information regarding particular video card configurations, this why I’d like to post some interesting info regarding the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 OC 2GB GDDR5 vs. Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition.

First lets do a comparative comparisons take a look at this video entitled (GTX 660(Non-Ti) -Vs- HD 7870 Crysis 2 1920×1080 Side By Side) … its seems to be quite on par in terms of FPS, while the 7870 slightly better, my choice in this case and if the price is similar it would be the 660, also due to CUDA and PhysX both offer a nice boost in performance.

You can find the GeForce GTX 660  for as little as $200 on Newegg, however despite having poor pre-sales service, however the HD7870 has also had its share of bad cards.

But still Sapphire is still pretty renowned,  even though its 7870 specifically has had many blunders (at first ..) but you can be in touch with them and work out any defective products via their RMA service that works really well, this does not mean that its not a good assembler, there is also the gigabyte 550/ti – 560/ti to fall back too.
