Bugatti Chiron is the fastest car in the world
For some time now, the Bugatti Veyron, in its 16.4 Super Sport configuration was the fastest production car in the world. Its 8.0-liter engine with 4 turbos and 16 cylinders generated 1200 horsepower managed a maximum speed of 430 km / h. A tough record to beat.
The auto industry performance is a game where there is much competition and where all seek to be the best all the time, and in February 2014, the Hennessey Venom GT became the new fastest car in the world, reaching a top speed of 435 km / h, beating the Veyron by just 5 km / h.
But now there is the new Chiron will accelerate from 0-62 mph under 2.5 seconds, which means it’s quicker off the line than the Veyron Super Sport. Accelerating to 124 mph in the Chiron will take less than 6.5 seconds and hitting 186 mph will take less than 13.6 seconds, Bugatti claims.
Obviously, this car will not be cheap. The price has not yet been published, but is expected to be around $ 2.5 billion (approximately the same price of three Porsche 918 Spyders). Bugatti says the vehicle is in the final stages of testing and have already received more than 100 orders from their privileged customers.
