Asus has announced its new ultra widescreen monitor the PB298Q based on 29 inches with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 2560 x 1080 resolution. It has a matrix AH-IPS (Advanced High Performance in-Plane Switching) to provide rich color shades and a viewing angle of 178 degrees. Emphasize its edges at only 0.8 millimeters.
In addition to the above, great connectivity features including native DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI-DL. It also carries two integrated 3W speakers to be used with its HDMI port. But as you may have noticed, what stands out is the width of the screen and its resolution. To give you an idea, this Asus PB298Q is equivalent to two 17-inch monitors with a 5:4 aspect ratio (not widescreen) placed next to each other.
