ASRock OC Z77 Formula: Designed for overclocking

We have said before that ASRock has taken a major leap in quality for some time now and has very good motherboards currently available. An interesting model of motherboard that has been seen at Computex 2012 is the ASRock Z77 OC Formula, a motherboard designed mainly to the practice of overclocking.

The ASRock Z77 OC Formula is specially designed for a practice that is fun but dangerous in turn, the overclock. According to ASRock, the Z77 OC Formula is above the Extreme and Fatal1ty also has a cooling system that works well for the VRM area, which provides active cooling by a small fan of 40 mm. In addition it also has support for installing a liquid cooling system.

The design for feeding the processor is based on 12 +4 DigiPower phases, and as in other models all of the components are PCB quality, for example includes tantalum capacitors. It has four slots for RAM DDR3-3000 + to be fed using a design based on 8 stages to ensure good stability.

Moreover, the ASRock Z77 Formula includes two PCI-Express 3.0 X16, although it will work in X8-X8 mode when we install two graphics cards, one PCI-Express 2.0 X16 and two PCI-Express 2.0 X1. It features six SATA 6GB / s, four SATA 3Gb / s, HDMI output, audio jacks and Gigabit Ethernet. Since it is a motherboard designed for overclocking, it includes points for voltage adjustments, two diagnostic screens and buttons for overclocking.
