Asrock Announces FM2 + motherboards based on A88X chipset
Asrock officially announced their new motherboards with socket FM2 + Chipset based A88X, called FM2A88X Extreme6 + and FM2A88M Extreme4 +. These motherboards are designed for the next APUs Kaveri AMD (4th Generation), although they will also be supporting the APUs Richland and Trinity.
The FM2A88X Extreme6 + design has an 8 +2 phase power, for CPU + Memory, uses high quality components. It has 4 DDR3 ram slots, supporting up to 64 GB of Ram, with frequencies up to 2600 MHz
It also has two PCI-Express x16 3.0 supporting Dual Graphics and CrossFireX 2-way ports, one PCI-E x16 2.0, two PCI-E x1 and two PCI. Has 7 Sata III ports.
FM2A88X Asrock Extreme4 +
The other motherboard that was just released is the FM2A88M Extreme4 + which has the form factor M-ATX. Like its big brother, has 4 DDR3 ram slots, supporting up to 64 GB of RAM with 2600 MHz frequencies
It has two PCI-E x16 3.0, supporting Dual Graphics and CrossFireX 2-way, one PCI-E x1, and one PCI port. Also has 8 Sata III ports.
* Its PCI-E 3.0 ports on both motherboards only work as such used with a processor Kaveri. If a previous processor is used, PCI-E work as 2.o.
