Apple releases new $1,300 MacBook now even lighter than ever
Apple has done it again, sending shock waves across the world with its latest notebook, called the MacBook. Move over MacBook Air.
This new notebook has quite a few characteristics that are sure to entice would be shoppers, as the device only weights 920g and is only 13.1mm thick rated at 24% thinner than the MacBook Air. Something new being introduced as well is the new butterfly keyboard design, that Apple is saying will make you type better as you will have better access to the keys the new keyboard will also work along side the new Force Touch touchpad. Apple has opted to go with an Intel Core M processor with a CPU speed of 1.1GHz, 1.2GHz or 1.3GHz dual-core.
You get a 12 inch Retina screen with a 2304 x 1400 display resolution, but what sticks out the most about the screen is how thin it is. Comes with an option for a 512GB and will be sold in gold, silver and space grey.
Apple has now opted with a new charger connection, it is now using a USB-C port to charge the notebook, standard 3x USB 3.0 ports, WiFi 4.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and will come loaded with Yosemite OSX Operating System.
Starting price will be $1,300 for the base MacBook, you get a 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor that has Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.4GHz, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Intel HD 5300 GPU.
The higher end model will go for about $1,550and you get a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor that has Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.6GHz and 512GB SSD.
